Level 1
Skills for Learning Social Care
This module will show you the way to become a more effective
learner. You'll cover a range of different skill areas, including
information technology, academic reading and writing, finding and
using sources, and study skills. You'll have the opportunity to
develop a Personal Development Plan (PDP) that will help you
reflect on your existing skills and identify gaps where you need to
apply greater focus.

Who Cares? The Social Care Mosaic
This module explores in depth the issue of whose responsibility
it is to care for individuals, families and vulnerable groups in
society, and aims to give you an understanding of how different
agencies and disciplines work collaboratively. You'll cover a broad
range of subjects, from the links between social care and the
community, to working effectively with carers, policy makers,
professionals and a mixture of public, private, and welfare
agencies.

including residential care
- The issues raised by working with groups with different needs,
including the ageing population, those with mental health

Modules 3-18 offered by University of East London
Once you have successfully completed these initial modules you
would be eligible to enrol for the full undergraduate programme if
you wish. UEL will directly provide the support you need as a
distance learner to successfully complete your chosen degree
