Prerequisites
To successfully complete your exams, you should have:
- Experience of being a professional database developer who designs and implements database solutions
- At least 3 years dedicated to database work, including, but not limited to, writing Transact-SQL queries, designing and implementing programming objects, optimising databases, designing databases at both the conceptual and logical levels, and implementing databases at the physical level
- Worked in an enterprise or a medium-sized organisation
- Experience in using Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
You should also have expertise in the following areas:
- Writing Transact-SQL queries
- Programming databases
- Troubleshooting programming objects (e.g. stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions and types, and queries)
- Performing database performance tuning and optimisation
- Designing databases, at both the conceptual and logical levels
- Implementing databases at the physical level
- Designing and troubleshooting the data access layer of the application
- Gathering business requirements.

What certificate will I get?
After passing this course, you will receive the MCITP Database Developer certification, as well as the MCTS SQL Server 2005 certification.
You will also have passed one of three exams necessary to gain the MCITP Database Administrator certification.
