Prerequisites
To successfully complete your exam, you should have at least one year’s experience implementing and administering a network operating system where there are:
- 250 to 5,000+ users
- At least 3 physical locations
- At least 3 domain controllers
- Network services and resources including messaging, a database, file and print, a proxy server, a firewall, the Internet, an intranet, remote access, and client computer management
- Connectivity requirements including connecting branch offices and remote users to the corporate network, and corporate networks to the Internet.
Who is this course for?
This course is for those who work with or plan to work with Active Directory and directory services, Active Directory server roles, certificate management and group policy. It is also for those looking to stand out for their specialised knowledge in a Windows Server 2008 environment.
What will I learn?
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:
- Configure Domain Name System (DNS) for Active Directory
- Configure the Active Directory infrastructure
- Configure additional Active Directory server roles
- Create and maintain Active Directory objects
- Maintain the Active Directory environment
- Configure Active Directory certificate services.
What certificate will I get?
After passing this course, you will receive the MCTS Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration certification.
You will also have passed one of five exams necessary to gain the MCITP Enterprise Administrator certification and one of three exams necessary to gain the MCITP Server Administrator certification.
